Max (7-yr old Lab):

* One large toy rope (not chewed) which came back out as it went in

* 2/3 of all decorations on the Christmas tree his first year, especially the glass balls and strings of (plugged in!!!) lights. Had ground glass lining his gums until we brushed his teeth. Thankfully the husband of the couple we bought him from was an MRI tech, manager of a radiology clinic. I called them up and we got him scanned immediately. Not one bit of internal bleeding.

* At least one bite out of every single item in the house he could get his teeth in (we were sparsely furnished at the time, so not as bad as it sounds) *except* my books. The only book harmed was the one my husband was reading sitting on his night stand. lol.

* Most of a chicken carcass, one of his few forays into the garbage. While we were home!! Another trip to be MRI'd. lol. Wasn't funny then but is now.


Breeze (6.5-month-old Lab)

Much longer list:

* One miniature volume of Edgar Allan Poe stories from 1905.

* The complete works of Christopher Moore except for "Lamb", because it's the one I'm currently reading and has been in my night stand drawer.

* Multiple other books, mostly Faulkner and Road Dahl's adult fiction

* 5-6 pieces of firewood on the back deck

* 3-4 slugs (the huge slimy northwest type, not the firearm type)

* One pair of Walmart branded lady's boots (a friend's). If he eats the ones I replaced them with...my husband may banish him to his crate forever even though he won't put him in it to keep him from damaging things when unsupervised.

* One Amy Brown Fairy Diva figurine

* 6 women's plastic hair clips of varying sizes

* Several of the household toddler's stuffed animals

* 4 aluminum soft drink cans (minus the actual soda)

* all of our mortgage papers

* at least one $400 baseball card

* corners of two dresser drawers

* 3 rolls of TP

* one-third of a queen-sized bed skirt

* 4 or 5 votive candle holders

* one pumice stone

* one nightlight

* numerous sandwiches (until my husband learned not to leave them unattended)

* anything the toddler of the house is eating unless he's watched carefully. She feeds him scraps sometimes, which I am trying to STOP so he knows to not take anything from her, dang it!!


I *think* that's it, but he's eaten so much....it's hard to remember. None as funny as Mishka's doggie's escapades. Sorry, Mishka, not sure if it's what your dog ate or how you phrased it. I'm sure Breeze's will be funny someday....

here i thought i was alone !!! our dog Champers when hes good Chompers when hes chewing and devouring everything in sight a black lab has eaten four special orthepedic shoes(very expensive), 2 cell phone chargers, two disposable cameras package and all, 2 strings of christmas lights, 7 MRE's including the heating element, a couch, a love seat,15 books corners and middles mostly....he climbs.....he's going to obeidience school I'm loosing my mind.....my son is building him an out door house he can not stay home alone peace lilac i told the boys i wanted a yorkie!
